Richmond Denzel Garrick is anDSCF1358 aspiring classical concert pianist. He has studied with great teachers like Charles Pettaway and Se-Eun-Lim. He has had the opportunity to study  the piano for over 10 years and the Organ for 2 years.

Denzel has performed in numerous recitals, and musical programs including the Steinway Peace Piano Concert at Burlington Performing Arts Center, Lenape Performing Arts Center at Marlton, Nj, Jacobs Music, and George Street Playhouse for Poetic Print Princess, to name a few. Additionally, he has also performed for local high schools,

colleges, churches, volunteered at nursing homes to entertain the elderly, and also various associations. Over the years, he gained exclusive memberships such as the USA American College of Musicians, which offered him the opportunity to audition for the piano guild at Rowan University. He has also earned scores of awards including a gold star for the South Jersey Music Teachers Association as well as Honors for the New Jersey Music Teachers Association.

Denzel’s outstanding performance earned him a top finalist position at the Princeton  Festival Piano Competition in June, 2010 and also Honorable Mention at the West Chester University 2011 Annual Piano Competition. Denzel also had the unique opportunity to perform at the St. Georges Cathedral Church in Freetown, Sierra Leone in July, 2010 sponsored by the Ballanta Academy of Music & The United States Embassy in Sierra Leone.
